MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Jared Allen has broken the Minnesota Vikings single-season sack record and is one sack away from breaking Michael Strahan´s NFL mark.Allen had 3 1/2 sacks in the first three quarters against the Bears on Sunday to give him 22 on the season. That´s a half-sack better than Chris Doleman´s previous team record set in 1989. Strahan had 22 1/2 sacks for the New York Giants in 2001.Allen broke the record on a third-down play in the third quarter when he raced past left tackle J´Marcus Webb and hauled down Josh McCown. The crowd erupted and Allen performed his trademark calf-roping sack dance as he was swarmed by teammates.Doleman was in attendance and clapped enthusiastically when Allen got the mark.
