Pau presences an operation in the CHLA

Everything in life is not sport, as well knows Pau Gasol, who has many other interests. One of them, before basketball, and has not ever left, is the world of medicine. And as he is also a generous man is the image of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Weeks ago passed through its facilities to witness live a spine operation, something much harder and transcendent than Game 7 of the Finals against Boston.

In the picture you can see how Pau had to wear appropriate attire to enter the OR to see an operation of what is technically called scoliosis.

ESPN followed him throughout the day and and passed an interview with him in Sunday, August 8, completed with an interview where he talks about his relationship with medicine and with this particular hospital.

The medicine comes from his family and was always his passion outside of sport, but has never exercised, so to witness an operation of this magnitude was shocking to Pau and it's important to know so fantastic work they do in this hospital with children.

It is one of the last social events of Pau before returning to Spain. His agenda has been full of interviews and public appearances like the first pich of the game of baseball in the Dodgers stadium, but certainly the most serious is the visit to hospital, because the health of children is very important.
